Visit Maine

Maine’s location in the far northeast corner of the United States makes it seem remote to many people. But Maine offers many reasons to visit, from its role in U.S. history to its rugged natural beauty. Plenty of people have found reason to visit the Pine Tree State. The Maine Office of Tourism reports that from June to September of 2010, an estimated 9.5 million people made an overnight visit in the state, and 13.5 million people made day visits.
